Reality Producer Danny Salles in Development Deal with Wilshire Studios

UNIVERSAL CITY: Wilshire Studios, the unscripted production arm of NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment, has inked an overall development deal with Danny Salles, who is behind such reality series as Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List.

Salles has most recently executive produced Todrick, a VH1 docuseries following the young, multitalented choreographer/dancer and YouTube star as he forges his Hollywood career. His other TV projects include Tanked (Animal Planet), I Want to Work for Diddy (VH1), Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best (WE tv) and Denise Richards: It’s Complicated.

“Danny is uniquely skilled at creating successful unscripted vehicles for both established personalities and stars on the rise,” said B.J. Levin, the senior VP of development at Wilshire Studios. “We look forward to working with him to develop untapped stories and add new, exciting voices to our roster of upcoming content.”

“Wilshire Studios is on the rise as a powerhouse creator of unscripted content grounded in distinctive characters with original perspectives,” said Salles. “I’m thrilled to join the studio at this exciting point in its evolution.”
