Passion Notches Up CEE Sales

Passion Distribution has signed a raft of deals across Central and Eastern Europe, including three packages in Poland and sales in the Czech Republic and Russia.

In Poland, TVN acquired the new lifestyle titles Where To I Do? and Chilli Hunter, as well as the documentary series Unreported World season 35.

Also in Poland, TVP picked up the docs Big Ben: Saving the World’s Most Famous Clock, Dara O’Briain Meets Stephen Hawking and Cannes: A Glamour Story. Canal+ Discovery in Poland went for the doc series That’s Amazing.

In the Czech Republic, Kinosvet acquired more than 40 hours of mystery and investigation programming, including Curious and Unusual Deaths seasons one and two, Autopsy: Most Shocking Stories season one and Close Encounters seasons one and two. Also included are a selection of The Weather Channel commissions, among them Forecasting the End, Secrets of the Earth and American Supernatural. Kinosvet also licensed the fact-ent series Spies.

In Russia, the Nautical channel acquired the comedy travelogue An Idiot Abroad seasons one through three.
