Outline Productions has started production on an expanded second season of Remarkable Places to Eat for BBC Two.

In each episode of Remarkable Places to Eat, a well-known British food expert takes Maitre D’ Fred Sirieix to a city that is home to their favorite restaurants. There, they share what they believe are the most unmissable food experiences the location has to offer and explain what makes them so special.

The first two episodes of Remarkable Places to Eat, filmed pre-lockdown, feature TV chef Andi Oliver and food writer Rachel Khoo. Filming for the rest of the season is currently on hold due to COVID-19.

Catherine Catton, head of commissioning for popular factual and factual entertainment at the BBC, said: “We are very pleased to be back with Fred as some of the nation’s favorite foodies open their little black books to reveal incredible restaurant destinations.”

Laura Mansfield and Helen Veale, creative directors at Outline Productions, said: “We are thrilled to be in production on a second season of Remarkable Places to Eat, which proved so popular with viewers the first time around. Although there’s a delay between the starter and the rest of the courses this time, we’re sure the sumptuous food and restaurants that Andi and Rachel take Fred to will leave audiences looking forward to the remainder of the series and the further treats we have in store.”
