The brand-new Predators in Action (w.t.) has been commissioned by National Geographic International from True to Nature in association with ITV Studios.

The six-parter is set to follow some of the world’s most formidable apex predators, including leopards, gray wolves and crocodiles. Combining archive footage and new VFX techniques, each episode features a different species, revealing the predatory advantages that are essential to surviving their world.

The series has been commissioned by Sarah Peat for National Geographic International. Postproduction and VFXs are to be provided by Doghouse Post Production. ITV Studios will handle international distribution of the series.

Wendy Darke, executive producer for True to Nature, said: “It’s great to be partnering with National Geographic International and ITV Studios for the first time on an innovative new approach, gaining fresh insights into predators in action and the attributes, skills and behaviors that give them an edge, most of the time, in the competitive natural world scenarios of predator vs prey.”

Adam Oldroyd, series producer, added: “Predators in Action offers an exciting opportunity to combine the latest VFX and game engine technology with some of the world’s best natural history footage and examine these incredible predators from an entirely new perspective.”
