MTV International Greenlights New Series with The Veronicas

MTV and Viacom Digital Studios International have commissioned a new reality show, Jess & Lisa: The Veronicas (working title), which features the eponymous Australian pop duo.

The series, which is currently in production by MTV Australia, is slated to premiere across MTV global linear and digital platforms later this year. The show follows the lives of Jess and Lisa Origliasso as they live their lives in the spotlight as The Veronicas.

The Brisbane-born identical twins rose to international fame with the release of their debut album The Secret Life Of… and the success of singles “4Ever,” “Hook Me Up,” “You Ruin Me,” “In My Blood” and, most recently, “Think Of Me.” They were the first Australian artists to have a single certified Platinum in the U.S. with 2007’s “Untouched.”

Jess & Lisa: The Veronicas (w/t) is the latest original MTV production to be produced in Australia, following MTV Unplugged Melbourne and MTV Cribs, both of which premiered in 2018; MTV TRL, which bowed in March; and Teen Mom Australia, which is currently in production and will air later this year.

Jess and Lisa Origliasso added, “We grew up with MTV and to be able to create a show together, bringing people closer inside our lives of music and as sisters, is going to be a wild ride.”
