“The Situation” Teams with ITV America for Doc

Jersey Shore’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has teamed up with ITV America for a documentary based on his memoir.

“I am beyond excited to partner with ITV America to bring the pages of my autobiography to life on screen,” said Sorrentino. “This project is more than just my story; it’s a raw, unfiltered journey through addiction, fame and redemption. As we open the doors to my treatment facilities, The Archangel Centers, I hope this documentary inspires others to believe that no matter how far you fall, the comeback is always greater than the setback.”

Years of reckless partying masked a drug addiction that would spiral into a half-million-dollar habit fueled by cocaine, oxycodone and a potpourri of pills. Enduring rehabs and relapses, Sorrentino is now ten years sober, a journey recounted in his book Reality Check: Making the Best of the Situation – How I Overcame Addiction, Loss, and Prison.

Now, partnering with ITV America, Sorrentino is ready to come clean in a revealing, no-holds-barred documentary that also marks ten years of sobriety and the opening of the Sorrentino family’s first Archangel Rehabilitation Center.

“Like Mike, I got my start at MTV during its heyday and know the real stories of what went on behind the scenes of the shows–often as entertaining as what was being filmed,” said David George, CEO of ITV America. “When we first talked about partnering, I was struck by Mike’s candor and willingness to talk about it all… there’s a lot to tell and offering it through his point of view is a rare opportunity.”

ITV America’s George, Adam Sher, Jordana Hochman and George McTeague executive produce alongside Sorrentino.
