Loving Elvis to Premiere on Peacock

The new premium docuseries Loving Elvis is set to bow on November 13 on Peacock.

The project takes a look at the loves, dalliances and forbidden courtships of the music icon through conversations with the women who loved him, including his nurse, his fiancée, his live-in girlfriends and a few young fans who dreamt of more.

Loving Elvis is produced by Renowned Films in association with See It Now Studios.

Renowned Films’ Max Welch said: “Loving Elvis finally lifts the lid on areas of the Elvis story long ignored. The series is an exploration of a complicated man, his dark sides and desires. Elvis was a massively conflicted individual, as will be revealed through the eyes of women who loved him the most.”

Director Barbara Shearer added: “With a resurgence of interest in the past year in Elvis Presley, this series offers a nuanced look at a complicated icon. We see Elvis in a variety of lights: the good, the bad and the heartbreakingly tragic.

“As a documentary director, it was important to me to dig down and get a sense of the man while the media continues to play on the myth. This meant looking at his more controversial relationships with some women through our modern-day lens. But what was surprising is just how much these former girlfriends still hold a candle for their beloved. And I saw how it was hard not to love the guy—his charisma and sex appeal is off the charts.”
