Love Nature Continues EMEA Expansion

Love Nature, furthering its expansion into the EMEA region, is slated to launch on the pay-TV platform Les Bouquets Canal+ in more than 25 African countries.

Per the deal, starting June 28, Les Bouquets Canal+ subscribers will have access to a lineup of original, English-language content, including hundreds of hours of wildlife and nature series and documentaries. Among the programming highlights are such original commissions as Malawi Wildlife Rescue (Icon Films), Dogs with Extraordinary Jobs (Oxford Scientific Films) and Amazing Animal Friends (Oxford Scientific Films).

The channel’s lineup will also feature content from Love Nature’s Camp Zambia programming, which includes Africa’s Hunters and The Big Dry, both produced by Plimsoll Productions.

Ward Platt, CEO of global networks and kids at Blue Ant Media, said: “Bringing Love Nature to Canal+ audiences is a significant milestone for the channel as we expand the family-friendly brand’s footprint across Africa. This deal is a great example of our commitment to partnering with platforms around the world to give our premium wildlife and nature programming content a truly global audience.”

Alexandre Gruner, senior VP of channels acquisitions and partnerships at Canal+ International, added “We are delighted to bring a new international channel within the Les Bouquets Canal+ offering. Love Nature reinforces our discovery channels’ offering, bringing more series and documentaries dedicated to nature. This new content will be very appreciated by our subscribers in African countries.”
