Love Nature has greenlit the documentary series Dogs with Extraordinary Jobs, a co-production from Oxford Scientific Films in association with world-renowned dog trainer Victoria Stilwell’s Positively.

Pre-production has begun on Dogs with Extraordinary Jobs, which is narrated by Stilwell. The five-part series will introduce viewers to stories of how scientists, rescuers and the disadvantaged are using dogs’ natural abilities in creative and beneficial ways to improve lives, increase safety and maintain the health and biodiversity of Earth. Each episode will present the stories of four canines. The series is being shot in the U.S., U.K., continental Europe and Africa.

Dogs with Extraordinary Jobs will launch in the U.S. market on 4K digital streaming service Smithsonian Earth and via Love Nature’s 4K linear and international streaming platforms. Blue Ant International oversees licensing on the series.

Carlyn Staudt, the executive VP of Love Nature programming and development, said, “Love Nature is committed to bringing audiences all over the world stories that will create an emotional connection between them and the stars of our series. What better way to establish this than by showcasing man’s best friend and revealing how their innate skills and intuition can make a big impact on the world. We look forward to introducing these four-legged heroes at Sunny Side of the Doc [this] month to our international buyers.”

Caroline Hawkins, the creative director at Oxford Scientific Films, added, “When Victoria came to us with the idea for Dogs with Extraordinary Jobs, we immediately saw its potential. We are delighted that Love Nature shared our vision and we are thrilled to embark on this exciting series, celebrating dogs and the extraordinary relationship we enjoy with them.”

Dogs with Extraordinary Jobs is created, executive produced and written by Hawkins and Stilwell. The series is directed by Sean McDonnell and David Warren. Anna Brett is head of production and Haley Smith is the series producer. Alison Barrat, VP of development and production, will oversee the series on behalf of Love Nature.
