PALO ALTO: VR specialist Jaunt is working with ESL on a range of documentaries and experiences for Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) eSports tournaments.

The companies have released the VR documentary CLG: Win Everythin’, which followed one team’s journey to the 2016 IEM world tournament in Katowice, Poland earlier this year. Jaunt will continue to capture and develop VR docs and experiences for other IEM tournaments, beginning in Shanghai this week.

“We are pleased to bring ESL’s thrilling eSports world to life in cinematic virtual reality for the first time,” said David Anderman, chief business officer of Jaunt. “Virtual reality brings a whole new level of fan engagement to eSports, prime for ESL’s audiences who want to connect with their favorite athletes and experience the pulse-racing thrills and live action of far-away tournaments.”

“We are extremely excited to continue our relationship with Jaunt,” said Michal Blicharz, VP of Pro Gaming at ESL. “The content that they will be producing at Intel Extreme Masters events is truly stunning, and will add an entirely new facet to the world of eSports.”
