LONDON: ITV Studios’s So Television and Sunnyside Productions have been commissioned to produce the factual-entertainment series Celebrity Home Secrets.

Set to debut on ITV in August, the 6×30-minute series sees six famous faces—Nigel Havers, Craig Charles, Janet Street-Porter, Sarah Harding, Duncan Bannatyne and Arlene Phillips—revisit their former homes and share the secrets and dreams they had while living there. The celebrities explain how each particular place helped shape their personal lives and careers. They also tell viewers why they decided to move and showcase their current homes.

Andrea Miller and Jerry Foulkes, co-executive producers for Sunnyside Productions, said: “We knew taking celebrities back to their childhood homes would be emotionally powerful, but the surprises kept coming. It was uncanny how things they thought they’d forgotten were remembered as if it was yesterday, from the price of the weekly rent, to where the children’s play pen stood. What was really fascinating was how much they enjoyed revisiting homes they never imagined they would ever set foot in again.”

Satmohan Panesar, ITV’s commissioning executive, added, “It’s always a real treat to be allowed into the homes of celebrities and this series allows us to delve into the story of their lives via the houses they’ve called home.”

Celebrity Home Secrets is executive produced by Miller and Foulkes for Sunnyside Productions and Graham Stuart for So Television. The format will be distributed internationally by ITV Studios Global Entertainment.
