IM Global Television & Newen in Content JV

IM Global Television and France-based Newen have signed a joint venture agreement to create original content.

Under the joint venture deal, the companies will create original content across all platforms globally. The agreement was negotiated on behalf of Phil Gurin, IM Global Television’s president of unscripted and alternative, and Bibiane Godfroid, the CEO in charge of content at Newen.

Gurin said: “We are excited about France, and about the creative auspices of Newen in particular. The opportunity to create original content with one of the leading companies in France fits perfectly into our brand of international cooperation and collaboration. We hope to launch prime-time concepts, daily series and digital formats that can premiere either in the U.S. or France and then travel around the world. The opportunity for two highly motivated content-creation companies to pool ideas and resources is what drives us.”

Fanchon Giorda, head of Newen’s development division, commented: “Newen is very pleased to announce this partnership with IM Global Television. Our common objective is the creation of new unscripted programs or high-end documentaries. Innovation is at the heart of the dynamics of our two groups, with the ambition to create the most attractive programs with an international scope.”
