Icon Films has restructured three senior management roles, a move that sees Harry Marshall taking up the post of chairman.

Laura Marshall, formerly managing director, assumes the role of CEO, while Stephen McQuillan, formerly head of factual, has been promoted to creative director.

Harry Marshall, co-founder of Icon Films with Laura Marshall, will focus on environmental projects. He is credited with the hit factual series River Monsters, Primal Survivor and Savage Kingdom.

McQuillan, creator of Legend Hunter and Andrew Marr: My Brain and Me, will assume day-to-day responsibility for development and production across Icon Films’ range of programming.

Harry Marshall said: “Environmental programming has always been at our core and now could not be a more important time to tell these stories.”

McQuillan said: “I’m incredibly excited about becoming creative director at Icon Films at a time when everything is aligned for us to build on our existing track record, both in the U.K. and U.S.”

Laura Marshall added: “This restructure supports the growth of the company and its key personnel to allow us to take advantage of the thriving U.K. and international media landscape—I’m really looking forward to working with Harry and Stephen in their new roles.”
