HISTORY Creates New Development & Production Role

NEW YORK: Dolores Gavin is rejoining HISTORY in the newly created post of senior executive of development and production.

This marks Gavin’s return to HISTORY after working at the network from 2000 to 2009, most recently as the VP of programming and development. In her new role, Gavin will be charged with leading a team focused on developing and executing new nonfiction franchises and formats. She will be based in A+E Networks’ headquarters in New York City.

Gavin will report to Paul Cabana, the executive VP and head of programming for HISTORY, who commented, “Dolores has an unparalleled track record of success in nonfiction programming, both within our organization and externally. She has an incredible ability to discover new talent and foster and create new hits. We are thrilled to welcome her back to the HISTORY team.”

Gavin rejoins HISTORY from Megalomedia, where she served as executive VP of development since August 2015. She has also worked at Discovery Channel.
