HBO to Launch Catch and Kill: The Podcast Tapes Series

Catch and Kill: The Podcast Tapes, a six-part, half-hour documentary series directed by Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato and produced by World of Wonder, is set to debut on HBO this summer.

The docuseries brings to life Ronan Farrow’s interviews with whistleblowers, journalists, private investigators and other sources, conducted for his podcast and best-selling book Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies and A Conspiracy to Protect Predators. The series will debut on HBO with two back-to-back episodes on July 12.

New episodes of Catch and Kill: The Podcast Tapes will air back-to-back on subsequent Mondays. The series will debut on HBO and be available to stream on HBO Max.

The first episode, “The Wire,” will feature Filipina-Italian model Ambra Gutierrez revealing the high-stakes police sting operation that captured an admission from Harvey Weinstein, as well as her plan to preserve the evidence after authorities declined to prosecute. Other episodes will include veteran The New Yorker reporter Ken Auletta and The Hollywood Reporter writer Kim Masters discussing their years-long quests to reveal the “open secret” of Weinstein’s behavior; former assistant at Weinstein’s company, Rowena Chiu; and Rich McHugh discussing producing the story with Farrow at NBC News, interviewing Rose McGowan and other sources on camera and realizing that the reporting was being shut down behind the scenes.

The New Yorker editors David Remnick and Deirdre Foley-Mendelssohn, attorney Fabio Bertoni and Fact Checkers Tammy Kim and Fergus McIntosh, as well as undercover spy Igor Ostrovsky and The Citizen Lab’s John Scott-Railton also feature in the docuseries.
