Rumpus Media Bolsters Development & Senior Management Team

Rumpus Media has tapped Nadine Furlong to be its new head of development and promoted Lucy Rothery to director of operations.

“Nadine has a proven track record for bringing entertaining and engaging factual-entertainment formats to screen,” said Emily Hudd, managing director at Rumpus Media. “Her wealth of expertise in not only development but production will be pivotal as we continue to grow and expand the business. Lucy is instrumental to the business and continues to oversee and drive forward all aspects of production as we continue to grow.”

Furlong and Rothery will report to Hudd and Iain Wimbush, Rumpus Media’s joint managing directors. Their positions start with immediate effect.

Furlong joins Rumpus Media from MultiStory Media, where she served as a development executive. She began her career as a researcher at companies including ITV, Firefly and Brook Lapping, before moving on to producing across a number of live productions, including So You Think You Can Dance and The Voice for BBC One, Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother for Channel 5 and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! for ITV. At betty, Furlong held roles including senior development producer, deputy head of development and acting head of development.

Furlong said: “The team at Rumpus have a reputation for flair and creativity in their productions that I admire. I’m hugely excited to share my passion and enthusiasm for developing inventive formats that span genres, and most importantly tell a story to the audience.”

Rothery, formerly head of production, joined Rumpus eight years ago. She has overseen the production of a wide range of output, including travelogue, consumer, comedy and entertainment. Prior to joining Rumpus, she worked at Princess Productions, Somethin’ Else and At It Productions.
