Gunpowder & Sky Takes Rights to Awaken Doc

Gunpowder & Sky’s DUST has acquired the worldwide rights to Awaken, a documentary showcasing the world’s natural wonders, narrated by Liv Tyler.

Awaken explores humanity’s relationship with technology and the natural world. Directed, shot and produced by Tom Lowe, the 75-minute film is executive produced by Terrence Malick (The Tree of Life, The Thin Red Line, The New World) and Godfrey Reggio (Koyaanisqatsi). It is set to debut on Apple TV+, Amazon and all other major VOD platforms on April 9.

Shot entirely in 4K over a five-year period in more than 30 countries, Awaken features time-lapse, slow-motion, underwater and aerial cinematography techniques to provide audiences a new way to see the world. The film is composed by Joseph Trapanese (The Greatest Showman, Oblivion, Tron: Legacy, Straight Outta Compton).
