Gunpowder & Sky has signed a two-year deal with HBO Max and HBO for a first look at the studio’s library of documentaries and docuseries.

Gunpowder & Sky’s doc content includes 69: The Saga of Danny Hernandez and Lil Peep’s Everybody’s Everything, with a slate of stories about larger-than-life musicians, social issues overtaking the globe and personalities pushing the boundaries of culture.

From Werner Herzog covering the end of the universe in Last Exit: Space to a 24-year old’s unlikely run for Amarillo city council in Kid Candidate to Bill Ackman’s crusade to expose global nutritional giant Herbalife as the largest pyramid scheme in history in Betting on Zero, and down through the underground world of street art in Banksy’s Exit Through the Gift Shop, Gunpowder & Sky’s docu-style content tackles societal concerns in fresh ways.
