Front Office Sports, Skydance Sports Team for VICE TV Doc

Front Office Sports Studios, Skydance Sports and Bright North Studios USA are co-producing the eight-episode docuseries Don’t Call it a Comeback, in association with NFL Films, for VICE Sports.

“We’re proud to partner with Front Office Sports Studios and Skydance Sports to give fans the opportunity to relive some of the greatest comebacks in sports history,” said Peter Gaffney, president of VICE TV, home of VICE Sports. “This series captures the idea that the thrill of a comeback victory is really only understood if you also get to experience the agony of the other team’s incomprehensible defeat and delivers the unique voices and perspectives sports fans come to VICE TV for.”

Set to premiere on January 6, the series will delve into NFL playoff games, an MLB American League Championship series, the Rose Bowl and the NCAA Final Four to unveil some of the most dramatic sports moments. It will showcase some of the biggest names that played in these matchups, including Andrew Luck, Amani Toomer, Shane Battier, Trevor Lawrence, Doug Pederson, Sam Darnold, Curtis Martin, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Josh Beckett, as well as super fans, including Fireman Ed and Bills Elvis. It is being hosted by sportscaster Noah Eagle.

“Nothing in sports hits like a great comeback,” Eagle noted. “When everything says it’s over, but something human says it’s not—those are the moments that stay with us. This series is about that edge, where legends are born and games become memories that last.”

Paramount Global Content Distribution is handling international sales for Don’t Call it a Comeback.
