Fremantle & Legend Media Ink Factual Content Deal

Fremantle has confirmed a new deal for finished factual programming with the China-based content operator Legend Media.

Marking Legend Media’s first and biggest factual package acquisition so far, the deal includes more than 100 hours of Fremantle content. Legend Media has acquired digital rights for China and will be placing the factual programs across VOD platforms.

Featured in the deal is the documentary Arctic Drift: A Year in the Ice, produced by UFA Show & Factual and Wild Blue Media, as well as the non-scripted series Enslaved: The Lost History of the Transatlantic Slave Trade, fronted by Samuel L. Jackson. The deal also includes Stonehenge: The Hidden Truth, produced by Fremantle-backed label Wild Blue Media, Last of the Giants, Planet Defenders, Expedition Unpacked, Wild Orphan Rescue, Royals: Declassified and The Diana Interview: The Truth Behind the Scandal.
