Food Network Rebooting Iron Chef America

NEW YORK: Food Network is reimagining the long-running series Iron Chef America with a brand-new competition show, Iron Chef Gauntlet.

The new series is based on the format Iron Chef owned by Fuji Television Network. Triage Entertainment is producing Iron Chef Gauntlet in conjunction with Food Network.

Alton Brown, Iron Chef America‘s iconic commentator, is set to return as host and master of ceremonies and also confirmed the news today on his social media platforms. Pre-production is currently under way for the new series, which will take its cues from the original, along with some new twists and turns. Production is scheduled for early 2017 with a launch date in Q2 2017.
