U.K.-based independent production company FirstLook TV is co-producing a third 10×1-hour season of the hit true-crime docudrama Nurses Who Kill with DCD Rights in association with UKTV’s Really.

DCD Rights has presold the series to the 24/7 true-crime channel the Justice Network in the U.S.

The U.S. deal follows the global success of the show’s first two seasons, which previously sold to Netflix, A+E Networks in Italy, Foxtel in Australia and Middle East VOD service Viu, among others.

The third season focuses on nurses and other caregivers who have ended the lives of their patients. The show mixes dramatic reenactments with actual videos and testimonies from investigators, prosecutors, doctors, and relatives of victims as they tell the stories of their horrifying ordeals and try to make sense of the killings.

Founder and Creative Director of FirstLook TV Will Hanrahan said: “Nurses Who Kill has always proved to be a successful brand worldwide and we are delighted that DCD Rights has already secured a U.S. presale for the show’s third outing.”

Nicky Davies Williams, CEO of DCD Rights, said: “We are delighted to have a third series of this outstanding and popular true-crime franchise to offer to our global client base.”
