Expedition with Steve Backshall Lands on PBS in the U.S.

PBS is set to launch the ten-part series Expedition with Steve Backshall in the U.S. on January 15.

Expedition with Steve Backshall follows the titular adventurer, his team of experts and his film crew as they venture into undiscovered worlds—from a white-water river in the Himalayas to an unexplored jungle in South America and mountains in Middle Eastern deserts. Made by True to Nature, the series was commissioned by BBC and UKTV in association with Fremantle, which holds global distribution rights.

Lisa Honig, senior executive VP of distribution for North America and international for Fremantle, said: “Expedition with Steve Backshall takes viewers to incredible parts of our planet where humans have never ventured before. Steve and his expert team travel to the furthest corners of the world, making eye-opening discoveries that will be sure to capture audiences across America on PBS. We’re looking forward to seeing the series launch in the USA in January 2020.”
