eOne Licenses Great Barrier Reef to 180-Plus Territories

LOS ANGELES: Entertainment One (eOne) has sold the natural-history series David Attenborough’s Great Barrier Reef into more than 180 territories, including Latin America and Europe.

David Attenborough’s Great Barrier Reef is produced by Atlantic Productions. The series has been placed in Latin America (Discovery), China (LeTV), Germany (Discovery), pan-Africa and Asia (BBC Earth), the Netherlands (Discovery), Italy (Discovery), Belgium (VRT), Norway (NRK), Finland (YLE), Czech Republic (FTV Prima), Israel (IBA), Poland (TVP), Sweden (Sveriges TV), Denmark (DR), Portugal (SIC, Discovery), Spain (Atresmedia, Discovery), and in Russia and Eastern and Central Europe (Viasat Nature). eOne handles worldwide rights for the series, excluding in the U.K., Australia and New Zealand, where Atlantic Productions distributes the title.

In the series, Attenborough dives deeper on the Great Barrier Reef than anyone has done before. The program uses pioneering camera technology to investigate the Earth’s largest living structure in groundbreaking ways.
