Dynamo: Beyond Belief Lands in India

AETN18 Media in India has licensed the three-part Dynamo: Beyond Belief for History TV18.

The news comes on the eve of the Asia TV Forum in Singapore, where Dynamo will be making an appearance. The series is repped by Passion Distribution and produced by Motion Content Group.

The three-parter marks Dynamo’s return to television after a five-year break due to illness.

AETN18 Media also acquired from Passion Distribution Secrets of the Superfactories, Heroes & Survivors and Getting Hitched Asian Style.

Passion Distribution also landed deals with Discovery India for World’s Deadliest and Discovery Taiwan for season two of So You Think You’d Survive and season three of Motorbike Show. Discovery Japan and Discovery Taiwan acquired Machinery of War, which is also headed to CCTV for China and Phoenix TV for Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and China. The series has also been picked up in Korea.

Nippon TV in Japan went for Price of Fame, Strangest Weather on Earth and Traffic Cops. Passion also sealed Japanese deals on How the Other Kids Live, The Robot Will See You Now and Inside the Foreign Office.

PTS in Taiwan, meanwhile, licensed the three-part The Art of Japanese Life. Blue Ant Media’s Makeful channel in Singapore opted for Where To I Do, which was also licensed to TVB in Hong Kong.

Pan-regional deals closed by Passion include Pet Club TV taking Make You Laugh Out Loud and My House and Other Animals. TechStorm TV picked up three seasons of Robot Wars as well as The Sexbots are Coming and How Steve Jobs Changed the World. Outdoor Channel Asia acquired 45 hours, including Fat Guys in the Woods and Klondike: Gold Fever.
