DRG has inked a raft of international deals for its new food and travel series, Remarkable Places to Eat.

Produced by the U.K.’s Outline Productions, Remarkable Places to Eat follows host Fred Sirieix (Million Pound Menu, First Dates) as he joins food experts at their favorite places to dine across Europe. Each guest will explain the reasons for their chosen location—from high-end restaurants to delis and roadside shacks—and share their insights and observations. The four-part series, which was filmed in Venice, Paris, Edinburgh and San Sebastian, premieres on BBC Two tonight, July 17.

In Europe, Remarkable Places to Eat has sold to DR TV in Denmark, VTM (Medialaan) in Belgium and RTL in Luxembourg and the Netherlands (CLT-UFA). P & P Permissions and Rights has picked up the series for Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia.

Remarkable Places to Eat has also been licensed by DRG to SBS in Australia. In Asia, DRG has struck a deal with Bomanbridge Media covering nearly 20 territories, including Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, India, the Philippines and Thailand. And in Africa, a continent-wide deal has been finalized with BBC Studios.

Elin Thomas, executive VP of sales at DRG, said: “We’re used to visiting other countries on screen and seeing local chefs at work, but hearing from established food experts about where they like to eat on their travels and why gives viewers a whole new perspective—as well as some brilliant recommendations. This beautifully filmed series is the ultimate combination of travel and good food and we are delighted that these early sales endorse this as a recipe for success.”
