Docs on Hitler, Stalin Among francetv distribution’s Factual Sales

PARIS: francetv distribution has placed titles from its catalogue of historical documentaries with international broadcasters in Norway and Brazil, among other territories.

Nat Geo in the Netherlands, RTVS in Slovakia and RTP in Portugal picked up the three-part documentary Stalin, about the infamous leader. Another title about a notorious historical figure, I Betrayed Hitler, from Label Image, went to Spain’s RTVE, Ceska TV in the Czech Republic, TV5 Quebec and Discovery for Poland. Produced by Artline Films, Hitler’s Champions was also acquired by RTVE and Ceska TV, as well as by UKTV in the U.K., SVT in Sweden, N24 in Germany and Globosat in Brazil.

In addition, Discovery Poland and Ceska TV signed on for Elizabeth II: A Queen’s Revolution. The documentary about the 90-year-old monarch is produced by Elephant Doc.

The doc Apocalypse: The Battle of Verdun was acquired by Nat Geo (worldwide, excluding France, Germany and the U.S.), NRK (Norway), RTVE, Viewcom/VRT (Belgium), SVT, Discovery (the U.S.) and Ceska TV. Meanwhile, Yann-Arthus Bertrand’s doc Human, which was already sold into more than ten territories, including Germany, Poland, Finland, Switzerland and Argentina, was picked up by Rai 5 in Italy and Slovenia’s RTV. Olympia: The Origins of Games, from Sequana Media/Kaliste, went to RTVE, Ceska TV and Belgium’s RTBF. RTBF also secured Champions Factory, as did TV5 Quebec.
