Discovery & TIM Pact for discovery+ in Italy

Discovery, Inc. and TIM have signed a deal that brings discovery+ to TIMvision’s subscribers in Italy.

Through the TIMvision Box, smartphones, tablets, smart TVs or the internet, TIM customers can now access discovery+. The launch slate boasts 8,000 hours of entertainment, 3,000 hours of series and 2,300 hours of premieres.

The discovery+ offer is part of a broader renewal, which also covers Nove, Real Time, DMAX, Giallo, Food, HGTV, Home&Garden, MOTORTREND, Frisbee and K2.

Alessandro Araimo, executive VP and general manager for Discovery Italy, said: “We are delighted to expand our strong and longstanding relationship with Italy’s largest distributor of video experiences through this innovative agreement. This renewed partnership will allow us to offer discovery+ to a broader audience of consumers in Italy, reinforcing our strategy of expanding content distribution across all platforms and devices.”
