Discovery, Inc. Reveals Extensive Upcoming Slate

Discovery, Inc.’s bouquet of channels and platforms have made a slew of renewals and new orders for crime series, fan-favorite reality shows and documentaries.

Investigation Discovery (ID) renewed Murder Under the Friday Night Lights for a second season ahead of its season one finale on February 8. Produced by Lion Television US, the series showcases the most notorious and tragic cases that have affected high school football towns.

ID is also set to debut the new series Crime Scene Confidential, reexamining forensic evidence from some of the U.S.’s most controversial murder cases, including the 2008 death of Caylee Anthony. It will premiere on March 8 on ID and will be available to stream on the same day on discovery+.

discovery+ has an expansive slate of documentaries coming up, including Destination Fear: Trail to Terror on February 24, Legacy: In the Shadow of Greatness on March 8, Last Exit: Space on March 10, Inventions that Changed History on March 31, Dear Mr. Brody on April 28, Undiscovered: Edgewood on May 19 and Undiscovered: Finding Amelia on June 9. The docuseries The Book of Queer is slated to debut in June as well.

The streaming platform has greenlit a host of new seasons of fan-favorites such as Kendra Sells Hollywood, Love in Paradise: The Caribbean, Pig Royalty and Ghost Brothers: Lights Out. These titles, all renewed for a second season, are joined by a third season renewal for 90 Day: The Single Life. These programs join other recent renewals for Naked and Afraid of Love, Eli Roth Presents: A Ghost Ruined My Life and The Haunted Museum.

discovery+ has also greenlit a docuseries on three-time gold medalist Shaun White, which will launch exclusively on the platform later this year.
