Discovery en Español & Major League Soccer Align for New Series

Discovery en Español has teamed up with Major League Soccer’s Houston Dynamo for Acceso Exclusivo, a new series that will provide an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Texas-based squad.

Though the Dynamo won the MLS Cup in the club’s first two seasons in 2006 and 2007, they’ve only qualified for the postseason once in the last four years—but are now ready to make a play for this year’s Cup. Acceso Exclusivo will give audiences access inside the locker room and into players’ homes to witness their quest for a new championship victory. The series will premiere on Tuesday, June 4, at 7 p.m. on Discovery en Español.

Over the course of six episodes, viewers will follow 23-year-old Colombian striker Mauro Manotas, Venezuelan forward Rolando Peña, head coach Wílmer Cabrera, Houston native Memo Rodriguez, Argentine midfielder Tomás Martínez and veteran player DaMarcus Beasley, who is the only American to play in four World Cups. A local journalist who covers the Dynamo, their medical team and El Batallón, the Dynamo’s Latino fan group, also will be featured.
