Details Revealed for 2016 Asian Side of the Doc

SUZHOU: The seventh edition of Asian Side of the Doc is slated to take place next year from March 21 to 24 in Suzhou, which is located in the Jiangsu province of China.

Asian Side of the Doc is an international documentary marketplace attended by more than 720 documentary professionals from Asia and around the globe. This 2016 edition will mark the third consecutive year that the event is being held in China. Previous editions were hosted in Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Chengdu and Xiamen.

The 2016 Asian Side of the Doc is organized with the support of Creative Europe—Media Programme of the European Union. The event will feature new opportunities in the financing, co-producing, buying and selling of non-fiction and unscripted content across all platforms. Highlights include the China Pitch, which will showcase emerging talents and original Chinas stories chosen from the Asian Side Training Week in Beijing from January 19 to 22.
