CuriosityStream is set to kick off its celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing with the world premiere of the 4K documentary film Return to the Moon.

Return to the Moon, a Curiosity Stream original, honors the legacy of the incredible feat on July 20, 1969, when Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to land on the Moon. It also offers a look at today’s global effort to take man back to the Moon, and the innovative technology needed to colonize and explore beyond it. Return to the Moon, co-produced by the Emmy Award-winning Flight 33 Productions, will premiere on June 13.

New Moon Mondays will launch the following week, on June 17, with the premiere of Hack the Moon: Unsung Heroes of Apollo airing on June 24. The program shares the stories of the engineers and scientists who made the first Moon landing possible. Living Universe, Space Probes, Lunar Rover, The Apollo Moon Landings and Mystery Signals from Space are also on the New Moon Mondays lineup.

CuriosityStream President and CEO Clint Stinchcomb said: “The Moon has recaptured the world’s attention and the golden anniversary of man’s first steps on it is the perfect opportunity to deliver new cutting-edge space and science content to our insatiably curious audience. Return to the Moon and New Moon Mondays celebrate the groundbreaking heroes of 50 years ago alongside the bold pioneers and revolutionary technology of today that will take mankind into our universe and beyond.”
