LONDON: The original crime series Murderers and their Mothers, presented by Donal MacIntyre, is premiering on May 15 at 10 p.m. in the U.K. on CBS Reality.

The 10×1-hour series will reveal new facts about the disturbing childhoods and maternal relationships of notorious killers from the U.K. and around the world. Complementing each linear episode, 30-minute podcasts will also be made available with MacIntyre and fellow experts analyzing these cases further.

The show is a co-production from Foxtel in Australia and DRG, along with Emporium Productions.

Sam Rowden, AMC Networks International – UK’s director of programming for CBS Reality and new media, said: “With the success of our two original series on CBS Reality last year, we are keen to expand our programming even further. We are pleased to be working with Donal MacIntyre again alongside Foxtel Australia, and also to embark on new partnerships with DRG and Emporium Productions. The intriguing new series exemplifies some of CBS Reality’s core values. This includes offering true stories presented by experts with an interesting point of view who explore the most shocking crimes in the U.K. and further afield.”

Emporium Productions’s managing director, Emma Read, said: “This chilling series brings fresh revelations into the terrible minds of murderers through their extreme and dysfunctional relationships with their mothers.
