Campfire Studios Reteams with Jed Rothstein

Campfire Studios (WeWork, The Menendez Brothers) has reunited with Oscar-nominated director Jed Rothstein (WeWork, The China Hustle) for a feature film exploring the notorious brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont.

The documentary will highlight the company’s suspiciously successful and calamitous seven years in operation and the lasting effect it had on its employees, victims and the financial industry as a whole.

The film is being produced by Ross M. Dinerstein, CEO of Campfire Studios, as well as Philip Glasser and Jason Brown of Called Higher Studios. Executive producers are Rebecca Evans, Ross Girard and Danni Mynard.

“Like many, I’ve been familiar with the absolutely insane Stratton Oakmont saga for some time, but seeing the early cuts of our film and hearing directly from the men and women who propelled the firm through its heyday has been a uniquely astonishing experience,” Dinerstein said. “Jed’s the perfect filmmaker to unpack the madness and to capture the ’90s-era culture and business environment that allowed a company like this to soar.”

Glasser added, “It’s an honor to be producing this film alongside Ross and Jason. Campfire and Jed have created hit after hit, and we expect this riveting story of true crime, deception and, ultimately, justice will also be incredibly appealing to viewers.”
