BossaNova Media has closed a string of global sales for various series from the Border Force and Border Patrol franchises.

CBS Reality acquired seasons one through four of Stampede Productions’ Border Force USA: The Bridges for Poland and Africa. Japan’s Nippon TV picked up the first season, and Discovery Italy bought season four.

Border Force USA: The Bridges follows the work of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency on the border between the U.S. and Mexico.

National Geographic channels acquired Border Patrol seasons six through twelve for the U.S. and seasons six through nine for Benelux. Originally produced for TVNZ by Greenstone, the show takes a look over the shoulder of customs officials on the frontline of border patrol as they intercept thousands of dollars worth of illegal substances, as well as fake passports, stolen credit cards and more.

In the U.K., Sky TV renewed a package deal of multiple series of Border Patrol, Highway Patrol and Motorway Patrol, numbering some 160 episodes and 80 hours for a three-year period. Highway Patrol gives viewers firsthand experience of Australia’s traffic enforcers, while Motorway Patrol provides a look into the pandemonium that takes place on New Zealand’s motorways.

“It’s clear that audiences worldwide are fascinated by the lives and work of those on the frontline of where our borders meet,” said Holly Cowdery, head of sales at BossaNova. “Luckily for us, the stories are infinite and never fail to entertain and surprise. Hats off too to Greenstone and Stampede for producing such fascinating, solid and, importantly, returning programming.”
