Video Interview: Bertie Gregory

Bertie Gregory is a BAFTA Award-winning cinematographer and Nat Geo Explorer. Now 30 years old, he was one of the youngest BAFTA winners for his work on David Attenborough’s Seven Worlds, One Planet. Gregory is gearing up for his new Nat Geo series Animals Up Close with Bertie Gregory, which takes viewers across the globe to Antarctica, Africa, South America and Asia as he tracks down animals, capturing their lives like never before. The show, which premiered September 13, features all the behind-the-scenes moments Gregory and his team face while adapting to unpredictable wildlife in remote environments.

Gregory tells TV Real Weekly about charting the places to go and the animals to showcase, as well as the technology that enables him and the crew to get up close and personal with subjects. He also shares with us what drives his passion for exploring and bringing these types of stories to the screen.
