BBC Studios Productions has appointed Katie Brewer-Frankl to be its new director of production for its factual entertainment and events division.

In her new role, Brewer-Frankl will lead production, commercial and business teams for BBC Studios’ five bases across the U.K. She will spearhead delivery of the factual entertainment and events division’s commercial strategy to grow the business, as well as overall production management responsibility for its slate.

Brewer-Frankl joins BBC Studios from RDF, part of the Baniiay Group, where she is currently director of production for a group of labels that includes RDF, Fizz and Little Wonder. She has also previously served as head of production at Little Gem and director of production and operations at 7Wonder.

Set to take up the position at BBC Studios early next year, Brewer-Frankl will report to Hannah Wyatt, managing director for factual entertainment and events.

Brewer-Frankl said: “I’m incredibly excited to be joining BBC Studios and working with Hannah on such a large slate of impressive and high-profile shows. I’m looking forward to combining forces to further expand the division.”

Wyatt added: “I’m delighted Katie is joining the team in factual entertainment and events. She has brilliant experience, a fantastic track record and is a lovely person. I’m really looking forward to working with her as we continue to grow the division.”
