Kew Media Distribution has sold the documentaries Own the Sky and Churchill and the Movie Mogul to the U.K.’s BBC Four.

Written and directed by Gregory Read (Eye of the Storm), Own the Sky chronicles David Mayman’s seemingly impossible quest to build and fly the world’s first jetpack around the Statue of Liberty, and the impact his infatuation has on his family.

Churchill and the Movie Mogul, written and directed by John Fleet, reveals how Britain’s greatest wartime leader and one of its most celebrated film producers, Alexander Korda, changed the course of history.

Jonathan Ford, executive VP of sales at Kew Media Distribution, commented, “Right now we are seeing a definite rise in the international demand for fascinating and inspiring documentaries. Viewers are certainly searching for stories that look at a subject in depth and deliver in an entertaining and captivating style. We’re delighted these two titles are heading to BBC Four and look forward to offering them to our global clients at MIPCOM next month.”
