The factual indie Barcroft Studios and TCB Media Rights have partnered with A+E Networks’ FYI channel to co-produce the new series Ultimate Rides.

The 20-episode series gets viewers up close and personal with some of the world’s most incredible vehicles. It will air as part of the “Drive” enthusiast block on FYI.

Featuring all kinds of vehicles—from a jet-powered Amish buggy to an underwater convertible to the Ferrari Dino found buried in a Los Angeles garden—Ultimate Rides takes viewers under the hood as it tracks down the best and most unusual vehicles in the world and puts them through their paces.

Driven by the passion and knowledge of the owners, designers and customizers for whom these rides are everything, each episode of Ultimate Rides features five vehicles and the stories and stats behind them.

TCB Media Rights will distribute the series in all territories outside the U.S. and will launch the series to buyers at MIPCOM.

“I’m delighted to be working with two brilliant partners in FYI and TCB to create this show, a series that taps into deep passions, great characters and amazing rides!” said Barcroft Studios Chief Creative Officer Alex Morris.

“We are huge fans of the brilliant, best-in-class digital content Barcroft has perfected across their platforms and we are so excited to partner with them to bring that kind of viral, eye-popping automotive content to our Drive block on FYI,” said Jordan Harman, an executive producer on the series.

Jimmy Humphrey, head of acquisitions and co-productions at TCB Media Rights, said: “It’s not often that an opportunity presents itself to represent an automotive show with great volume and the perfect broadcast partner already in place. When our friends at Barcroft shared this one with us, it was a no-brainer. Plus, it’s got Monster Trucks in it—what’s not to love? A great pleasure to be bringing this great project to market for petrol heads worldwide.”
