Autentic Distribution has unveiled its upcoming spring and summer slate of documentaries, which features new titles across history, science and technology, wildlife and more.

The history catalog includes Loopfilm’s Come Fly with Me: The Golden Age of Aviation, delving into air travel from the 1940s to the 1970s. The first airlines consisted of open biplanes before they realized passengers preferred comfort over thrills. Enclosed planes with cabins took over as the popular model, and airlines began to compete to transport their passengers from one continent to another in the most comfortable manner.

Also on the history slate, American Spy or Nazi Traitor? The Untold Story of Eric Erickson, from Hoferichter & Jacobs, unravels the life of a World War II spy whose intelligence operations may have altered the course of history. Erickson is credited with providing intelligence on Nazi fuel production that may have shortened the conflict, but his legacy is full of contradictions, as he continued to conduct business with Nazi Germany and maintained contacts within the SS.

In the science and technology realm, titles on offer in the spring/summer season are 14a Media’s AI-Robots: Smart Warehouse Logistics, offering an exclusive look at how AI and robotics are revolutionizing modern supply chains; Hoferichter & Jacobs’ A Heart on Demand?, about advancements in transplantation medicine; South & Browse’s Powerful Genes–The Miracle of Human Adaptation, exploring humanity’s journey through evolution; WDR’s The Art of Breathing, examining how breathing techniques can affect focus, stress management and performance; and Langbein & Partner’s The One Health Approach, following researchers who are working on an approach to deal with how interlinked humans, animals and the environment are and how easy it is for diseases to be transmitted from animals to humans.

Autentic Distribution’s wildlife offering includes Pangolin–Journey to Freedom, from Terra Mater Studios and Silver Bullet Films, following a rescued pangolin in Zimbabwe as she grows and reveals crucial insights for pangolin conservation, and El Salvador–Of Craters and Coasts, from Brandmedia Film, showcasing the titular country’s untouched landscapes, from volcanic craters to mangrove ecosystems, and the wildlife thriving there. Also on offer are The Island of Giants, from Atlantic Ridge Productions, and Leopard Dynasty—The Rise of Rana, from Terra Mater Studios, both launched at London TV Screenings.

The spring/summer slate also includes returning titles, including Moers Media’s The Magical World of Spices, taking viewers on a sensory journey across continents to discover the origins and histories behind the flavors that shape global cuisines.

“With our new spring/summer catalog, we reinforce our commitment to high-quality factual storytelling,” said Mirjam Strasser, head of sales and distribution at Autentic. “From thrilling history and groundbreaking science to breathtaking wildlife, this slate is packed with stories that inform and inspire.”
