Joining Apple’s slate of original programming is the new docuseries Visible: Out on Television from Emmy-nominated filmmakers Ryan White and Jessica Hargrave.

The five-part television event will investigate the importance of TV in shaping the American conscience, and how the LGBTQ movement has shaped television. Narrated by Janet Mock, Margaret Cho, Asia Kate Dillon, Neil Patrick Harris and Lena Waithe, it will combine archival footage with interviews with key players from the movement and the screen such as Ellen DeGeneres, Oprah Winfrey, Anderson Cooper, Billy Porter, Rachel Maddow, Don Lemon, Sara Ramirez and Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

Each episode of Visible: Out on Television will explore themes like invisibility, homophobia, the evolution of the LGBTQ character and coming out in the TV industry. Executive produced by Wanda Sykes and Wilson Cruz, it will debut in its entirety on February 14, on Apple TV+.
