A+E Networks UK Orders New True-Crime Docuseries

A+E Networks UK has commissioned a true-crime docuseries, What the Killer Did Next, from Avalon for Crime + Investigation (CI) in the U.K.

Each episode of What the Killer Did Next aims to discover a murderer’s motive by looking at what they did after killing someone. The 8×60-minute show is being presented by Philip Glenister. It is slated for broadcast early next year.

Dan Korn, the VP of programming at A+E Networks UK, remarked: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Avalon and Philip Glenister on a series that examines the process of detection and the study of criminal behavior from an entirely new angle; it’s as much a study of the criminal mind as it is a story of pioneering detective methods and dogged policing.”

Jamie Isaacs, executive producer for Avalon, added: “We are delighted to be working with CI on this new series. As DCI Gene Hunt, Philip was arguably one of the most iconic, no-nonsense policemen in British TV history, and we are delighted he’ll be sharing these shocking and surprising contemporary psychological detective stories while also offering new insight into the fascinating practices employed during cutting-edge police work.”
