A&E Doc to Spotlight O.J. Simpson’s Vegas Conviction

A&E Network has added to its fall lineup the tentatively titled special Guilty: The Conviction of O.J. Simpson, focused on the court case that led to the infamous former football player’s conviction for armed robbery.

Just yesterday, Simpson was granted parole after serving nearly nine years in prison for a 2007 armed robbery in Las Vegas. The two-hour original doc will analyze new details and revelations from the trial, with previously unreleased audio tapes, never-before-seen files and exclusive interviews from individuals close to the case. It is slated for broadcast on A&E in October 2017.

Guilty: The Conviction of O.J. Simpson is produced for A&E Network by Outpost Entertainment in association with Martin Literary Management. Executive producers for Outpost are Jodi Flynn, David George, Simon Thomas, Brent Jacoby, Michael Maloy and Sharlene Martin, while exec producers for A&E are Elaine Frontain Bryant and Brad Abramson. Worldwide distribution rights are being handled by A+E Networks.

“A&E continues to create timely, thought-provoking programming that truly resonates with our true-crime enthusiast audience,” said Bryant. “Over the past two decades, the fascination with O.J. Simpson only continues to grow and we are dedicated to bringing a fresh new look into his most recent case through exclusive interviews and footage.”
