SILVER SPRING: Destination America has started production on an all-new series, Kindred Spirits (working title), hosted by ghost hunters Adam Berry and Amy Bruni.

The series will premiere exclusively on Destination America this year. It follows Berry and Bruni as they help real families that are being tormented by paranormal activity at home. The twist is that the spirits may be their own late family members. The duo looks for evidence and attempts to guide the spirits into the light to relieve the families of their burden.

Kindred Spirits takes paranormal investigation back to its roots with a simple mission of making contact with the other side but, first and foremost, helping people who are terrified and don’t know where else to turn,” said Jane Latman, the general manager of Destination America. “Over the years, Amy and Adam have built a kinship with each other and their fans that make them the best paranormal team to bring closure to these families and the perfect addition to our family here at Destination America.”

Destination America will share additional details about the tentatively titled Kindred Spirits during the Supernatural Super Panel, to be held at Comic-Con International on July 22 at 7 p.m. In addition to Berry and Bruni, the panel will feature Paranormal Lockdown’s Nick Groff and Katrina Weidman, as well as the “Godfather of the Paranormal” John Zaffis from Haunted Collector.

Berry and Bruni got their start on Syfy’s series Ghost Hunters. They recently guest starred on an episode of Paranormal Lockdown on Destination America.

The tentatively titled Kindred Spirits is produced for Destination America by Paper Route Productions with Alan LaGarde and Sumit David as executive producers. Bruni and Berry are also executive producers. For Destination America, Fay Yu serves as executive producer.
