LONDON: Banijay Group’s Zodiak Rights has sold the third season of the factual series The Supervet to a number of broadcasters worldwide.

The Supervet looks on as veterinarian Noel Fitzpatrick and his team help pets in need. The 26×60-minute third season has been snapped up by SBS Australia, Sky for New Zealand, BBC Earth in Asia and South Africa, Viasat World for pan-Eastern Europe, Kanal 2 in Estonia, SVT in Sweden, Numero 23 in France, Manoto TV for Iran, SIC MULHER in Portugal and AMC Networks International Iberia for Odisea Spain.

Tim Mutimer, CEO of Zodiak Rights, remarked: “We are very proud to have sold further episodes of this uplifting and touching series. Our love of pets is universal and the dedication of Noel and his colleagues is awe-inspiring and engaging for viewers everywhere. The figures speak for themselves as The Supervet has built its audience share by 45 percent across its multiple [seasons] in the U.K., with the latest [season] averaging a staggering 76 percent above Channel 4 slot norms. It has had similar success in other parts of the world.”

Zodiak Rights plans to present The Supervet—Bionic Specials, produced by Blast! Films for Channel 4, at next month’s MIPCOM. These four hour-long specials spotlight the bioengineering and regenerative medicine behind Fitzpatrick’s pioneering veterinary procedures.
