Amazon MGM Studios Taps Jenn Levy to Lead Unscripted

Amazon MGM Studios has appointed Netflix alum Jenn Levy as head of unscripted and documentary television.

Levy will oversee Amazon MGM Unscripted, MGM Alternative, Big Fish Entertainment (On Patrol: Live) and Evolution Media (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills). She will also head development and production for Prime Video.

Levy previously spent seven years at Netflix, most recently serving as VP of nonfiction. While at the company, she was part of the launch of Love Is Blind and worked on series such as Queer Eye and Nailed It! Prior to that, she spent nine years at Bravo.

“Having a single threaded leader for this vital piece of our business is crucial—and bringing on someone of Jenn’s caliber to fill the job makes our future that much brighter,” said Peter Friedlander, head of global TV, in a memo to employees. “Jenn has played a leadership role in shows that have resonated far beyond the unscripted genre and crossed into global phenomenon territory—Love Is Blind, The Real Housewives, Vanderpump Rules, Queer Eye, Top Chef and Below Deck, just to name a few. Jenn joins us from leading unscripted production company 32 Flavors, where she served as president. Prior to that, she was senior VP at Bravo, and then went on to Netflix, where she was one of the early leaders who helped build the company’s unscripted initiative and co-led the team for several years.”
