A&E Orders Two Seasons of New Series

A&E will debut a new series titled Crime in Progress, which the network has already ordered two seasons of, on January 1.

Crime in Progress is produced for A&E by the A+E Factual Studios group. Each episode follows the entire arc of an investigation—capturing crimes as they unfold in real time, exactly as they happened, with no reenactments or narration.

Kelly McClurkin serves as showrunner and executive producer. Executive producers for A+E Factual Studios are Steve Ascher, Cerise Fukuji, Jhamal K. Robinson and Sharon Scott. Shelly Tatro and Jonathan Partridge serve as executive producers for A&E.

“A&E has always been an industry leader when it comes to showcasing the processes of law enforcement, and this series is a prime example of that,” said Elaine Frontain Bryant, executive VP and head of programming at A&E and Lifetime. “This unique vantage point allows viewers to become fully immersed with officers in the field as the investigations unfold in real time.”
