Nat Geo Taps Cate Hall as U.K. Commissioner

National Geographic has tapped 72 Films and BBC Studios alum Cate Hall as commissioning editor for the U.K.

Hall will develop and commission factual projects for National Geographic’s international linear channels, Disney+ and Hulu. She joins from 72 Films, where she was head of specialist factual and executive produced titles such as Britain and the Blitz and 007: Road to a Million.

Prior to working at 72 Films, Hall served as creative director of BBC Studios’ Documentary Unit, overseeing commissions such as Inside Our Minds with Chris Packham, Freedom: 50 Years of Pride and Aileen: Queen of the Serial Killers.

Hall also previously worked at Wall to Wall on projects such as Blitz: The Bombs that Changed Britain and at Boundless as executive producer of BBC One’s The Apprentice.
