Espresso Inks European Deals for Space, History & Art Docs

Espresso Media International has inked a raft of deals across Europe for space, history and art titles from its catalog.

Germany’s ZDF acquired Roswell: The Final Evidence, an investigation of the conspiracy theories around the Roswell UFO incident, and Foo Fighters, tracing sightings of strange airborne objects from WWII to the modern day. Welt picked up A Message to the Stars, about humanity’s search for alien life.

In Italy, Rai licensed Decoding Turner, a one-off documentary that uncovers potential hidden codes in the paintings of J.M.W. Turner with the help of academics, art historians and two amateur enthusiasts.

Mediawan licensed Off Earth, following the companies behind the private space race and the billionaires driving commercial spaceflight, and JFK: 24 Hours that Changed the World, detailing the last 24 hours of U.S. President John F. Kennedy’s life before his assassination, for France.
