The Synanon Fix Lands April Premiere

The HBO original documentary series The Synanon Fix: Did the Cure Become a Cult? is set to debut on April 1 on HBO and will be available to stream on Max.

The four-parter explores the rise and fall of the controversial treatment center Synanon, which grew from a drug rehabilitation program in the late 1950s into a communal living experiment that would later draw criticism for abuse and cult-like behavior.

New episodes will debut weekly.

The title is a Moxie Films Production by Rory Kennedy and Mark Bailey. It is directed by Kennedy and written by Bailey, Jeff Swimmer and Keven McAlester.
